We had a fab pre-theatre meal here (from £28pp + drinks, service), delicious with lovely presentation. Favourites were the beetroot starter and the trout in saffron sauce. Our waiter Raj was especially attentive and happy to discuss in detail each dish. It was quiet when we arrived, so we had drinks first in the rooftop bar.

The food was super tasty and the service was spot on. We celebrated my friend’s birthday here, and the restaurant surprised us with a cute little dessert—so sweet of them! The staff were really friendly and funny, and they even helped set up the cake perfectly without charging extra. Loved the vibe!

Beautiful restaurant, great menu and lovely staff. My friend was gluten and dairy free, our waiter was so knowledgable of the menu, and broke down exactly what my friend could and couldn’t have - we felt reassured and all the food was amazing. It was also her birthday and they went above and beyond to make it special. Thank you!

What an experience! Amazing food, guy starts playing a saxophone, DJ playing bangers, given flashing tiaras. So much fun and brilliant vibes! Food was excellent all round with highlights being the Coco bread, tuna ceviche, beef short rib (omg), and baklava cheesecake. Top notch service from Raju and lovely chilled out rooftop bar with stunning views. Highly recommend for a more fun and lively dining experience.

Penelope’s is truly a gem. The food alone deserves endless praise. The chicken shawarma was tender and flavourful, the artichoke paella was cooked to absolute perfection, and the tuna ceviche genuinely changed my opinion on fish (I normally avoid it, but this was outstanding). Every dish had a depth of flavour that showed how much thought went into it. The atmosphere was lively and warm, with a perfect balance of class and fun. We were treated to live saxophone music at our table, and the DJ, Babe, curated an incredible mix that kept the energy flowing. The music, just like the food, carried a sense of novelty that was constantly engaging, diverse, and exciting. Special thanks to Mario, Evan, Raj, and the rest of the staff for their attentive and welcoming service. The team made us feel comfortable and celebrated from start to finish. The drinks were also excellent. The pomegranate mocktail was refreshing, and the virgin mojito was one of the best I have had. Penelope’s is the perfect place to bring friends if you want to treat yourselves and enjoy a night that feels special. 10/10, I cannot wait to come back.

My friends and I visited Penelope's for a birthday celebration, and we chose the Pre-theatre menu. The food absolutely blew me away. I was honestly beyond impressed with the flavour from each dish, and the staff were very lovely and made our experience one to remember. I cannot recommend Penelope's enough! I would say it's definitely worth the price, with a 3 course meal coming up to £32. Staff always ask for any dietary requirements, and food is carefully prepared. The ambience is just amazing, with a gorgeous interior and beautiful lighting to add to it. I have tried all of the food on the pre-theatre menu, and all of it is very filling and I'm left impressed each time I go!

Penelope’s: where flavour meets flair Last night, we had the pleasure of dining @penelopes.london, a hidden gem located @amanocoventgarden. This isn’t just any restaurant; it’s an immersive dining experience that artfully blends the bold flavours of Israeli and Spanish cuisine. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew we were in for something extraordinary. The evening kicked off with an array of tapas-style starters that were as visually stunning as they were delicious. The calamari, served in black challah with coriander aioli, was a symphony of flavours. But it was the roasted Israeli aubergine that truly captivated us. Cooked to tender perfection, it had a slight vegetal bitterness that was beautifully balanced by a tahini soy dressing, all topped with zesty pomegranate. Each bite was a celebration of textures and tastes. For our main course, we shared the 12-hour braised beef short rib, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The meat was so tender it practically melted in the mouth, and the rich, deep flavours left us savouring every last morsel. But the evening didn’t end there. We couldn’t resist the allure of Penelope’s signature dessert - the baklava cheesecake. A perfect marriage of creamy cheesecake with the nutty sweetness of baklava, accompanied by a refreshing orange basil sorbet, it was the kind of dessert that lingers in your memory long after the last bite. The atmosphere at Penelope’s was lively and vibrant, striking the perfect balance between energetic and intimate. The drinks menu deserves special mention too, offering a sensational selection of gins, rums, mezcal, and a carefully curated wine list that perfectly complemented the meal. And of course, none of this would have been possible without the exceptional team at Penelope’s. Their attentive service and deep knowledge of the menu made our dining experience truly unforgettable.
